本片以架空的田园都市千叶县的竹马市为舞台，讲述了一名叫佐藤萌（三森铃子 配音）的女性和她的猫咪“噗哟”之间的温馨日常故事。与噗哟的相遇被佐藤萌称为“命运的邂逅”，自此噗哟便和佐藤萌一家生活在一起。噗哟（大谷育江 配音），是一只黄毛虎纹小猫，它有着近似球形的外表，深受大家喜爱。在同一屋檐下生活，噗哟和大家会发生怎么样的有趣故事呢？ 本动画改编自日本漫画家树露的四格漫画。而为主人公噗哟担任声优的是大谷育江，她曾饰演过日本的国民级吉祥物皮卡丘，以及《海贼王》中超级可爱的乔巴。

KidsClick will start airing season 2 of this show in the US starting 30 August 2018, marking the first time that Season 2 of this show airing on American over-the-air television. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style. On 5 September, 2018, Skydance Media has acquired the live-action film and live-action television rights.
