美妙旋律第三季故事是发生在第一季的七年以后、第二季的四年以后，美爱等人已经从pretty top毕业并且学有所成。本作将有别于前作，以平行世界的东京、原宿作为舞台，原本只以"流行"及"舞蹈"为比赛中心的内容，更增添了一项新的"音乐"要素，描述一群能感知音乐的颜色、热度和味道的主角们，站上星光舞台达成梦想的故事。 主角彩濑奈露是个只要听音乐就能感受到声音的颜色，想像力丰富的中学二年级女孩，擅长装饰各式小物擅长装饰各式小物，梦想是希望能够开一间如「Dear Crown」那样引领时尚潮流的店。一天，她得知了即将开设的新店铺，将募集会跳三棱镜舞蹈的女中学生作店长。奈露也参加了甄选，并在众多参加者中脱颖而出，一路来到了最终面试。

为揭开秦烈里魂的秘密，本季中时光将回朔到秦烈刚刚加入器具宗外宗之时。彼时秦烈经李牧指点，为了寻找凌语诗，秦烈排除障碍通过了器具宗试炼，加入外宗。在唐思琪的指点下开始进行日常修炼。 由于在入宗考试中惹恼了唐思琪，秦烈在宗门内的生活处处被大师姐刁难。天长日久，二人之间竟然产生了一些不可名状的情愫。而这些也都被意图篡取宗门之位的梁少扬看在了眼里。期初梁少扬只是为了宗主之位接近唐思琪，但经过一段日子的接触，梁少扬也对大师姐产生了特殊的感觉……
所谓的“除妖”，即是把由于某些缘由而从原本应在的“隐世”来到“现世”停留的妖怪们送回“隐世”这一工作。某天，被妖怪附体的高中生·芦屋花绘，依靠偶然发现的联络方式，来到了专门除妖的物怪庵，在那里的是一脸不高兴的店主安倍晴斋。由于某些缘故，芦屋就这样以物怪庵奉公人的身份开始工作……安倍与芦屋的除妖组合和妖怪们的物语就此开幕。
一次车祸让远野志贵（铃村健一 配音）拥有了能够看到“死之线”的能力。死之线是一些遍布在各种物体上的线，只要沿着它切割，就能轻易的摧毁物体，这种能力让志贵苦恼不已。一日放学的途中，志贵遇见了一名白衣女子，体内突然产生的杀意让志贵措手不及，还未反应过来便将女子切成了碎片。第二天，本该死去的女子却站在志贵的面前，她告诉志贵，自己叫做艾尔奎特（生天目仁美 配音），是拥有不死之身的吸血鬼，一直追踪并企图消灭死徒罗阿（三宅健太 配音）。志贵的攻击让艾尔奎特的身体极度衰弱，因为，在恢复之前，志贵必须肩负起保护她安全的职责。 在目睹了罗阿的暴行之后，志贵决定加入消灭罗阿的队伍中去。同时，教会的雪露（折笠富美子 配音）也同罗阿有着难解之仇。在追踪罗阿的过程中，志贵渐渐发觉有一些非比寻常的记忆正在脑海中苏醒，一直坚信着的自己的过去，竟然是一个骗局。

The second season premiere is scheduled for a global launch around September–November 2017 in Europe, At a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, it was announced that the second season would have its North American release on Netflix in December 2017, with 13 episodes to be released. KidsClick will start airing season 2 of this show in the US starting 30 August 2018, marking the first time that Season 2 of this show airing on American over-the-air television. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style. On 5 September, 2018, Skydance Media has acquired the live-action film and live-action television rights.
